Wynn Continues Mini Dominance

Mike Wynn (Peru Nordic) won the Great Sacandaga Mini Marathon for the sixth straight time. Wynn pulled away midway through the first of four six kilometer loops, eventually finishing nearly three minutes ahead of Dave Kvam (HURT). Jon Santor (Peru Nordic) rounded out the podium.

In the women’s race, Kathy Schwenk (HURT) captured her first Mini Marathon title, ten months after capture the NYSSRA championship on the same trails. Completing the podium were Deb Nordyke (Saratoga Biathlon) and Janet Findley (Peru Nordic). 

The weather was surprisingly nicer than anticipated today, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low teens at race time.
