Biathlon Clinic at Mt Van Hoevenberg on 12/14/13

The Saratoga Biathlon Club is pleased to announce a one day Biathlon clinic to be held in Lake Placid on Saturday December 14th. This clinic will be open to Nordic skiers 14 years or older who would like an introduction to the sport, and also to beginner/intermediate biathletes who would like to improve their shooting skills and range procedures.
The clinic will run from roughly 10 AM until 2:30 PM. Beginners who are will be borrowing a rifle need to arrive at 9:00 AM to be fitted for a rifle. Additional details will be provided to registered participants closer to the date of the event.

The size of the clinic will be limited to 16 participants, with an equal availability to novices and current biathletes with rifles & harnesses. A limited number of loaner rifles will be available for novice use on a first-come first-served basis. If the fields fill up please send an email to Sean Halligan (Sean@halliganci.com) to be placed on the wait list.  If you sign up to borrow a rifle please be sure to send an email indicating whether you shoot right or left handed.  (**Left handed participants may need to shoot right handed if we can find enough lefty rifles!)

The cost of the event will be $20 per person. In addition, each participant must bring 150 rounds of standard velocity .22 cal long rifle ammunition (may also be marked as Target). Ammunition will not be provided! (**Finding ammunition can be a challenge these days and therefore it is recommended that participants start that process ASAP!)

All participants must be USBA members. If you are not a member, you can join as a member for the day $10. If you are planning on competing this winter it’s probably in your best interest to join as a full member (supporter or competitor).
